Coach

I'm 37 years old born in Yokohama Japan.

I played for Moorpark H.S. Boy's Varsity Soccer Team  from 1985-1987, where I was a Team and League M.V.P and CIF Selection in 86' , All-State Goalkeeper my Senior year in 87' and CIF Selection. I attended Moorpark Community College in 1989, after the 89' season I decided to play Semi-Pro for the Super League, for the North Hollywood Jet's till 1993 where we qualified and played in the finals of both the Amateur and National Cup Tournaments; We placed Second in both. Between 1990-1994, I was the Frosh-Soph Coach and Assistant Coach for the Varsity program at Moorpark H.S. where my father (Mike Scanlon) was the Head Coach. In our career at Moorpark H.S. we earned 3 League Championships and a C.I.F Championship in 1994. We both left the High School program after the 94' Season and went back to Moorpark Community College under the support of my father who also took an Assistant Coaching position for the Men's program at Moorpark College. I played my last year of eligibility for the College team where I received Team M.V.P, Western State Conference Goalkeeper honors and League M.V.P Honorable mention. I was recruited to play for Cal State University Dominguez Hills Division II, Men's Soccer Program in 1995, where I played as the starting Goalkeeper for my last 2 years.

In 1998, I was asked to become the Grad Assistant Coach for Cal State Dominguez Hills, where I accepted the position to help coach the Men's program. I was also involved in taking an Interim Coaching position for the Fountain Valley Wolf Pack Soccer Club and accompanied them to England for the Ian Rush Tournament which was hosted in Wales. We placed 1st in the consolation bracket. I also earned the Managers Award for the entire Tournament of Coaches. I received my "E" Coaching License in 2004.
